The Climax (1944)
In "The Climax," Dr. Hohner (Boris Karloff), the theatre physician at the Vienna Royal Theatre, is driven to murder his mistress, the star soprano, due to his intense jealousy and growing madness. Ten years later, a young singer named Angela Klatt (Susanna Foster) arrives, reminding Hohner of his lost love and reigniting his obsessive mania. Determined to keep Angela from singing for anyone but himself, Hohner plots to silence her forever.
