Dr. John Holden travels to London to attend a paranormal psychology symposium, aiming to expose devil cult leader Julian Karswell. A skeptic by nature, Holden does not believe in Karswell’s supernatural powers. Despite this, he accepts an invitation to stay at Karswell’s estate, accompanied by Joanna Harrington, whose uncle—Holden’s confidant—recently died in a mysterious accident. Karswell clandestinely slips a parchment into Holden’s papers, possibly placing a deadly curse upon him. As a series of strange and terrifying events unfolds, Holden’s skepticism begins to waver and he realizes his only chance of survival may be to return the cursed parchment to Karswell, breaking the demonic spell that threatens him.
