Former Air Force pilot Lloyd Tredman (Robert Taylor), now living as an expatriate in Madrid, is haunted by his memories of the Korean War and refuses to fly. When he loses his last dollar on a horse race rigged by a smuggler, he's compelled to accept a $25,000 offer to transport a box of contraband currency from Egypt to Spain. However, during the return flight, Tredman discovers his cargo also contains heroin, leading to a dangerous game of evasion as Interpol closes in across the Mediterranean.
