Paula, a cold and calculating diva, relentlessly exploits the men she dates. While blackmailing the married Don over a recent one-night stand, she secretly carries on an affair with Henry, a researcher for the TV show 'Crime of the Week,' which Don writes for. After Henry refuses to help her land a role on the show, Paula insults him—and soon ends up murdered.
