The Bishop Misbehaves 1935 DVD - Edmund Gwenn / Maureen O'Sullivan
During a walking tour of English cathedrals, Donald Meadows meets Hester Granthem in a church. Learning that Donald is from Chicago, Hester enlists his help in a robbery she has meticulously planned—hoping to reclaim thousands of pounds that Mr. Waller swindled from her father. Initially believing Hester is joking, Donald agrees to participate, only to find the plot is quite serious. The planned robbery takes place at a pub, but the Bishop of Broadminster, an enthusiastic mystery fan, and his sister inadvertently become involved. As the Bishop plays amateur detective, the situation becomes increasingly complicated, with the Bishop, Mr. Waller, Hester and her gang, and Donald all jockeying for control. Unexpected twists ensue as each group gains and loses the upper hand.
