The S.S. Gigantic, a new ocean liner, is set to race its rival, the Colossal. Owner T.F. Bellows sends his brother S.B. aboard the Colossal, hoping he'll stir up trouble. However, after being delayed by a golf game, S.B. and his unlucky daughter Martha accidentally board the Gigantic instead. Meanwhile, radio emcee Buzz Fielding presents a series of musical acts while juggling his fiancée Dorothy and three ex-wives who have come along for the ride.
