Music-hall star Madeleine Marlowe leaves London engaged to the Duke of Trippingham, only to discover that back home, Police Gazette reporter Samuel A. McGee has exposed her past as the former burlesque queen Rosie O'Grady. Seeking revenge, she claims Sam is actually her real suitor. Sam retaliates by publishing a song about Rosie, sparking an Irish brawl between his paper and her stage show.
