With the railroad coming to Red Rock, trouble is expected. Billy Carson (Buster Crabbe) is sent to help his friend Fuzzy Q. Jones (Al St. John), who serves as the town's sheriff, judge, and barber. When the man who sent Billy is murdered and the railroad location map is stolen, broken matchsticks point the suspicion toward Vic Landreau.
