Detective Chris Kelvaney's brother, Eddie, is also a policeman and witnesses a murderer fleeing the scene of a crime. Chris, who has connections with the gangster Dan Beaumonte, is offered $15,000 if Eddie withdraws his testimony. However, Eddie is an honorable cop and refuses the bribe.
