Peggy (Peggy Ryan), a messenger, delivers a telegram to The Flamingo Club, where the Andrews Sisters and Bob Edwards' Orchestra are performing. Learning that the club's owner, Harrison (William Frawley), intends to expand his show, Peggy persuades him to give her and her friends a tryout. Their success could help save the dancing school operated by Professor Woof (Charles Butterworth) and Gribble (Walter Catlett). Press agent Kendall (Richard Davies) recognizes the group leader as Gracie Waverly (Grace McDonald), niece to three wealthy aunts. When Gracie's photo appears in the newspaper, Harrison immediately signs their group. However, the Waverly sisters order Gracie not to dance again, threatening to disinherit her. Professor Woof enlists the Andrews Sisters to pose as the Waverly sisters, creating a ruse to convince Harrison to sign Gracie. The plan backfires when the real Waverly sisters arrive.
