Gang boss Little John Sarto returns from Europe, having sought "class," only to find his old mob taken over by Jack Burns. Forming a rival gang, Sarto is wounded and finds refuge in a monastery. Immersed in the serene life of the simple, sincere brothers, he is gradually transformed.
