When Owen Clark and his girlfriend Liz Taggart park at Lovers' Loop, they are startled by a peeping Tom. After Owen is knocked out, Liz is kidnapped by the disturbed Harold Loftus. The police spring into action upon discovering that Liz is the daughter of Capt. Dan Taggart, whose overprotectiveness complicates the rescue efforts as much as it helps. While Loftus, shaped by his domineering mother, makes awkward advances toward Liz, she manages to resist while the authorities close in on her location.
