During a stage performance, an actor is mysteriously murdered, prompting theater critic Tony Woolrich (Dave O'Brien) to investigate the crime. Suspicion falls upon Claudia Moore (Kay Aldridge, in her final film role), who is also the woman Woolrich loves. As more deaths occur, Claudia becomes a target of the elusive Phantom Killer. The suspense escalates during a production of "Julius Caesar," where the killer makes a final, deadly attempt.
