Stationed on the Northwest Frontier of British India, the 41st Bengal Lancers stand guard against Afridi invaders led by the cunning Mohammed Khan. Experienced but insubordinate Lieutenant McGregor is joined by two newcomers: the proud Forsythe and the inexperienced Donald Stone, who is also the son of the commanding colonel.
