Leona Stevenson, a bedridden and ill woman, becomes ensnared in a tense and suspenseful situation one night while waiting for her husband to return home. She inadvertently overhears a phone conversation between two men plotting a murder. As the night unfolds, Leona grows increasingly desperate, racing against time to discover who the intended victim is so she can prevent the crime.
