In this lighthearted adventure, a Robin Hood-like pirate named Baptiste preys only on the ships of the wealthy and wicked trader Narbonne. Fun-loving Debbie, a passenger aboard one of Baptiste's latest prizes, stows away on his pirate ship and soon falls for the charming bandit. Later, after becoming an entertainer in New Orleans, Debbie encounters Baptiste's alter ego, who is now engaged to the governor's daughter.
