Bhowani Junction (1956)
Set in 1947 as the British prepare to leave India, "Bhowani Junction" explores the struggles of the Anglo-Indian community, who fear the loss of their privileged status. Victoria Jones, an Anglo-Indian WAC in the British Army, finds herself torn between cultures and loyalties. While close to Patrick Taylor, another Anglo-Indian, Victoria is disturbed by his hostility toward Indians. A shocking incident involving Col.
